The Blue Bear Café is a student-run coffee shop that provides hands-on work experience for OCS (Occupational Course of Study) students. Through real-world training in customer service, food preparation, and business operations, students gain confidence, independence, and essential workplace skills.

What began inside Mount Airy High School has grown into a thriving program, now expanding to the Mount Airy Public Library. Alongside serving coffee and treats, students manage Bear’s Delight, Bluebeary Bakery, and Bloomin’ Bear Florist, learning entrepreneurship, creativity, and teamwork.

Guided by the motto “Serving Kindness One Cup at a Time,” every purchase directly supports student growth and career readiness.
